Excellent stay again third time staying as location near family. Accommodation has everything you need and clean and tidy good communication from owner we will be back later in the year.

Absolutely lovely and cosy cottage in a rural location. Very quiet and peaceful. We stayed for 2 nights and easily could have stayed longer, it was lovely! It was great to be able to bring our dog with us to stay too. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. It was nice to have the stove we could light in the evening as well as a smart TV which we all watched a movie together on. We cooked several meals in the kitchen which has a great oven, microwave, toaster and kettle so all the basics needed to cook with, although a chopping knife would be a great addition as we just had a little knife to work with.
Not a complaint but just some feedback for future guests. There could have been a little more communication, as when we arrived we had no idea how to get the keys and had some difficulty contacting anyone. When we did get through they were super nice and friendly though! Similarly we were given no instruction on what to do when checking out, where to leave the keys etc. a little note in the house would be perfect for this. Furthermore, I had read the previous reviews that mentioned some basics were missing from the house, so I messaged in advance to check if they had since been installed (bin, tea towels etc.) and was told that they were, however, when we arrived there were no tea towels and no bins in any of the rooms or the bathroom. A number of the light fixtures also did not work or had no bulbs. These were all very minor things and we still had a really nice stay, but I do think these final little touches would make the stay a 10/10.

This cottage has potential, if I owned it I would have replaced the ancient boiler rather than install a pointless hot tub !
Toilet seat wonky because users have to sit awkwardly to avoid the poorly placed bathroom cabinet.
A hot tub has been dumped out the back in the middle of the walkway leading to the back door.
The central heating controller is a manual mechanical timer located in an out-house. It was freezing when we visited so we took turns at getting fully dressed to switch it on and off.
The central heating boiler which was oil fired was very loud !
The hot tub has a cover which creaks and groans all night in cold weather. Bear in mind it is located under one of the bedroom windows.
We tried to use the fire (a wood burner stove) all we succeeded in doing was filling the living room with smoke and setting off the fire detectors and CO detector. Apparently the chimney needed cleaned out before it could be used ? The living room stank of smoke for the rest of our holiday.
On day 1 the neighbours decided to chop some trees down using chainsaws.
On day 2 the same neighbours decided to pressure wash their barns with an industrial size pressure washer which generated a noise somewhere between a tractor and small jet engine (IAE V2500 to be exact).
On day 3 they continued the noise torture in the morning and we left a day early as we did not fancy listening to anymore industrial noise. On the way out we discovered the ranch / farm across the road was vacant at Xmas / New Year and the owners had decided to get contractors in to make some serious noise !
The Belfast sink in the Kitchen has a leaking taps.
