Nous sommes arrivés tout juste avant l'heure de fermeture de l'accueil et nous avons été bien accueillis. Le propriétaire a pris le temps de nous montrer le chemin pour nous rendre à notre chambre.
Il n'y avait pas de débarbouillette et il manquait une serviette, même si c'était bien indiqué que nous étions 3. Je l'ai mentionné au propriétaire qui m'a dit que j'aurais pu appeler et il aurait apporté une serviette supplémentaire.

Room was clean. Fresh linnen. No weird odours. Heating unit very efficient in warming the room.
At check in, there was a sign that the municipality issued a "boil water advisory" and the clerk informed me verbally. However, the hotel did not provide any potable water (bottled or otherwise). Not sure about Val d'Or but hotels in other jurisdictions cannot rent out rooms if no potable water is provided by them (bottled, etc.).
Street noise is easily heard in the room.
There was daylight showing between the base of the door and frame of the door.

Not much I will not be going back.
I think the administration changed, I was there 2 years ago and the rooms were cleaner and they were more organised. The first room I got had three different refrigerators all plugged on extensions laying around. When I checked in they literally had all the motel's keys mixed up on the counter and had to look for mine through them. Second room was better but the key to the room was problematic, unlocking door was a challenge. I had checked to be sure they had hair dryer in room but it wasn't the case had to ask for one.
