Clean, spacious and great location!

Spacious, clean and centrally located. Easy to walk to all Rome must see places. Tall ceilings make the apartment seem even larger.

Clean apartment in good location, but locked-out incident and forced €150 locksmith payment ruined our stay.

Everything was as shown in the photos, clean and in a good touristic location with easy access to the main sights.

Unfortunately, a very serious incident completely ruined our stay and made us feel unsafe and exploited. One evening, as we stepped out, the main entrance door suddenly locked itself while our keys remained inside the door and all our belongings, documents and my personal phone were locked in the apartment. We were left standing outside, at night, in the cold, with our little child and my pregnant wife, with no access to our things and no way for me to log in to Booking.com or use my usual contacts. Using my wife’s phone, I immediately contacted the host via WhatsApp and asked for help. He first directed us to a so-called cleaner’s key, which we found where he indicated, but this key did not open the door. Instead of offering a proper solution or coming in person, the host then told us that the only option was to call his locksmith, at a fixed cash price of €150, and that we were not allowed to contact any other locksmith who might charge less. When I objected that this was unreasonable—especially since the problem was not caused by us but by the way the lock worked—he insisted that only his locksmith was “authorized” and repeated that if I did not accept quickly, the price might become even higher. At this point we were stranded outside in an emergency situation with a child and pregnant woman, late in the evening, with no access to my own phone or documents, and with the host refusing any alternative. I felt pressured and without real choice, essentially forced to accept his conditions in order to regain access to our belongings and have a safe place to sleep. The locksmith arrived surprisingly quickly and opened the door in 1–2 minutes using only a piece of plastic, without any special tools or visible complexity. He then demanded the full €150 in cash and refused to provide any receipt or invoice for the service, despite my request. This whole experience made us feel that the apartment’s locking system and the host’s policy create a serious risk for guests.

החשמל נפל ברגע שהפעלנו 2-3 מכשירים ביחד (מזגן, מכונת כביסה, קומקום) פרצו לנו לדירה וגנבו כרטיס אשראי. בעל הבית לא התרגש מזה, ולא הרגשנו שיש התייחסות הולמת לאירוע.
