I loved the solitude and quiet along with the beautiful view and creature comforts like a comfortable bed and hot shower. It was like being in tree house but with amenities.
For me, it was ideal because I liked the solitude and beautiful small town. But be aware it is 25 minutes outside the main town of La Fortuna where many of the tours and restaurants are. I had to cancel my night tour because I didn’t want to drive up the mountain in the dark and the rain.

Wendy and Roger are wonderful hosts and staying in their jungle volcano view property in El Castillo is magical. You can tell they put their heart and passion into creating a unique space that you will surely enjoy during your visit to this incredible area of Costa Rica.
