About this cottage rental
Experience Lake Wales like a local in this 2-bedroom lake front home. Marvelous views await you from the comfort of the sunroom or the full outdoor experience from the patio or the extended pier and covered dock. Lake Rosalie is 4,530 acres with great bass fishing! The maximum depth is 61 feet with an average of 15 feet. Bass, white catfish and crappie are among the many fish that inhabit this lake. Birds that can be routinely viewed from the dock including eagles, osprey, sandhill cranes, herons and so many more! Wildlife that will often make an appearance: pair of otters and the Florida alligator! No worries, they stay in the water! Morning sunrise over the lake viewed from the sunroom or out on the dock is one of our favorite times! With a cup of coffee, it is the best! Enjoy the use of the rowboat to do some simple fishing and exploring or maybe the golfcart to take a ride to the local restaurant the Big Dog Outpost....not a big place :) Evenings relax with lake views, maybe some bird watching while supper is on the grill! Make use of the Starlink internet and separate workspace desk if you must but take time to recognize and enjoy the nature that surrounds you!

We loved it. Communication from the owners prior was timely and pleasant. This was the most relaxing vacation we’ve taken in years. It was quiet. It was convenient. We felt like we had privacy, even in a tight community. The golf cart was convenient for trash. There were things available for convenience (laundry and cleaning supplies, random things like nail polish, a lunch box, ice packs, and much more). Access to the water from the house was not available since the water was so low, but the dock was nice. The view from the sunroom was also beautiful. The only challenges we had was not controllable for the owner. We had a long truck and a boat. It was very hard for us to park, thank goodness my husband is a pro. The wind and the lights seemed to bring in a ton of bugs, but there was a bug light there to try to help. We are thankful for the week we had here

The home was clean and has a very nice dock with a wonderful view. We saw sandhill cranes, ducks, herons, and egrets! The host was very nice and responsive. The only down-sides (just personal dislikes) are that food is about 20-25 mins away and the home sits on the edge of a mobile home park with homes very close together.

The place was very clean and well stocked with essentials. Pet friendly with a gate. Had to ask a couple of generic questions and the host was quick to respond and very helpful. Great neighbors and friendly. Will definitely book again.
