Do not recommend. Old photos.
Nothing
I made a recent booking via booking.com and Easilets oversee the property. Turned out to be a highly distressing and disappointing experience for me and my family.
The property we booked was significantly misrepresented in the listing. The photos advertised on your website were not a true reflection of the property’s current condition. Both the cosmetic appearance and the layout of the rooms differed greatly from what was shown. When I raised this issue with easilet, I was informed that the owners were new and had not yet updated the photos. However, had the listing accurately reflected the property as it currently is, I would not have made the booking.
In addition to being misleading, the property was in an unacceptable state of cleanliness and repair. Upon arrival, we found:
- Food on the floor and on top of the oven
- Hair inside the fridge
- A missing drawer in the freezer and another broken and taped together
- Debris scattered across the property
- A bathroom floor that felt unsafe, as though it might cave in
- Bathrooms that were not properly cleaned
Again there was deflection that the owners use their own cleaning company.
Overall, the condition of the property did not justify the price charged and fell far below acceptable standards.
Cannot upload all photos.
Although I appreciate that a refund for the property has been issued, this situation caused significant inconvenience and distress. We travelled from Birmingham on Good Friday (Easter weekend), resulting in a journey of approximately four hours each way. This meant an entire day was wasted, and we were left having to return home immediately under very upsetting circumstances, including consoling a distressed child.
Furthermore, we had done a £150 Asda shop, which included fresh and frozen food. Due to the unexpected return journey, this food could not be preserved and had to be discarded, resulting in additional financial loss.
