The resort was a comfortable stay for the short period we were visiting Wilpattu National Park. It has a great location near the entrance which really helped for the safaris. The staff were so kind and attentive and made every effort to create a comfortable stay. The room was very large and well appointed, and the bed was good quality. The onsite restaurant offered a range of options for both dinner and breakfast, with plentiful portions. The service was really quite good.
The bathroom was probably the only weak part of the stay. The shower was weak and not too warm at all, so worth considering against the price of the stay. The bathroom door was also broken so that was not great - we were only there for one night so not really something we could get corrected in time.

Eagle Wilpattu Resort was such a wonderful find. The staff are incredibly polite, friendly and accommodating and truly want to make your stay memorable - for example shining the torch at night so we could see the elephants grazing outside once dark. It was a truly remarkable experience. The food was fabulous - and breakfast was incredible - fresh fruit, juice, pancakes, curd and honey, Sri Lankan or western menu or blend of both. It was all amazing. It kept us going all day! And dinner was great as well and great to relax with a cold beer after a day at the safari. Such a perfect location and vibe. Thank you

The property is well maintained with lovely large clean rooms. Having a small fridge in the room was lovely and the outside shared areas made great use of the views. Good location a few minutes drive from the park entrance. The pool was nice but less appealing in real life than it looked in the pictures!
We stayed in ten hotels across our month in Sri Lanka and the food here felt very expensive compared with other places.
