Locket family run location, they are in the middle of making a lot of positive changes. The team couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable - amazing

Would recommend adding hairdryers

I wasn't sure what to expect as this was one of those places that I hadn't stayed at before, but it turned out to be a great stay! It's on Highway 160 entering town so I had to make a U-turn to reach the entrance as there's an island in the middle of 160 that prevents direct access from that direction. But once there, the lady at my late check-in was very friendly and helpful. If I remember correctly, they're in the middle of a transition to update the place and make it more of a retreat. While a little dated, it's got charm and I can easily envision turning it into a retreat with the grounds they've got plus what's out back. The room was nicely sized, pretty clean and everything seemed to work. LOVED the mattress (firm without being concrete hard), the pillows (found out they're from Amazon so will order when I get home) and the thick, wonderfully absorbent towels! Glad I chose it and would highly recommend.

Having to make the U-turn to get to the entrance could be a bother if there's a lot of traffic, but that's not something they can control.

Friendly staff. Large fridge. Large room.

Taller toilet would be a plus.

The property is historic and there is an ongoing attempt to keep the “feel” while updating. Our room was clean and “updated” but there were still issues to be dealt with. Staff was very friendly and accommodating
