Ocean Gate Inn

Overall, we had a great relaxing stay. We traveled over 4th of July weekend and this place was great to get away from the hectic areas in other towns. we loved the pool and used it everyday. Breakfast was wonderful with many choices for everyone in the party;.

The A/C unit was loud and I would recommend it be replaced soon.

It was a beautiful place to stay. The fire pits by the water with the supplied smores kits were 10/10. Loved the deck outside of our room.

Check in time according to the website is 4pm. We arrived at 4:30 and our room wasn’t ready yet. The young girl at the front desk told me I could sit and wait for it to be ready. Maybe 15 minutes later she said it would be ready in five minutes. I approached the desk and asked if I was all set to drive down to the room because I wasn’t sure what to do? She kind of reluctantly handed over paperwork for me to sign and still didn’t give me the key. So I asked if I could have the key and drive down there. She said she didn’t want me intruding on the person cleaning the room. I said I’d wait the extra five minutes (even though it had already been past that). When I got to the room the person cleaning was leaving and there were a couple things you could tell were definitely rushed. Including a couple old hair ties on the floor that weren’t picked up. That whole experience was off putting.

Breakfast was ok. The rooms were very damp and hot and stinky. Definitely a moisture issue. One of my friend's asthma kickdd up pretty bad from the room. Felt like a turtle in a terrarium at petco. Location was beautiful so it was worth going anyway.
