Lovely little cottage with everything you need, we only had breakfast here and were out all day and back at jight

The location is perfect smack in the middle between Waterford and Tramore. It's very private and has a huge lawn for kids to play. (We went during a heat wave, so that was very helpful).
The property has everything you need in a self-catering unit. It has a tv with channels and has strong wifi.
I struggled quite a lot to get hold of anybody after booking. Eventually I tried whatsapp and got hold of the owner via whatsapp. She was helpful and friendly but I think it will be useful to know that people can't get hold of her in any other way. Her number goes straight to voicemail if dialled outside of whatsapp.
The place was not untidy or dirty, but big dustballs had collected behind the bed and it was visible without looking very hard. You wouldn't even need to move the bed in order to clean around and underneath it. I saw it clearly when I unplugged my phone charger. It was a bit gross. The extracter fan in the bathroom makes a huge noise, but this didn't bother us too much.
The biggest discomfort was the double bed in the main bedroom. It has the WORST mattress. I have spinal problems and I felt like I will never get comfortable. It was actually painful to sleep on. I can understand having a rustic look as decor, but it does not justify a horrible, lumpy mattress for guests to sleep on. A bed should be clean and comfortable.
The costs weren't cheap enough to justify the terrible mattress. The 2nd night I slept on top of the duvet for some protection. It helped a little, but I still woke up feeling sore and tired from barely sleeping.
I left 7, but technically, the way I felt about that mattress, I feel like it should've been 5.
