The location is excellent — just steps from the waterfront and within easy reach of Darwin’s main attractions. The pool is also a lovely addition and a great place to relax.
The building has plenty of character and efforts have clearly been made to give the property a more contemporary feel while retaining some of its heritage charm. The rooms are comfortable enough and overall, I really couldn’t complain about the stay.
Check-in was fine, although a little slow, and the limited reception hours can be frustrating.
While attempts have been made to modernise the older building, they don’t always quite work. The rooms look modern at first glance but up close, some of the finishes and facilities feel somewhat dated. I also felt the property was perhaps a little overpriced for the overall standard, although the excellent location does help compensate for this.

No reception- dealing with people on a phone system is the worst. No room service during your stay so wet towels ect! Everything gets yuck
