I cannot find enough superlatives to describe this property and the owner, Barbara. The property itself is just stunning. It is more spacious that it looks from the photos, the location is outstanding, the apartment is extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated and the terrace has what has to be one of the best views in Assisi. The location is in the heart of Assisi and we were spoiled for choice when it came to restaurants, bars, pastry options, gelato, shopping. The keys were in a lock box and Barbara had sent us perfect instructions on how to open the box. There was even a very tasty crostata waiting for us on the table. The beds were very comfortable, the living room has a large and 'nice to sit on' sofa, the A/C was great to have as the outside temperatures were high, the windows were well sealed so though we were in the middle of town, it was easy to get a good night's sleep and we very much appreciated the chance to do laundry. Barbara was an amazing resource for local recommendations. She even was able to put us in touch with a very lovely taxi driver to move us from directly in front of the apartment to one of the parking garages - there were four of us with large suitcases as we were in Italy for a wedding and it would have been quite some work to get the suitcases down the stairs along the hillside to the parking garage. I truly do not have words to describe how much we enjoyed staying here. Thank you!

When we booked, we did it primarily for the stunning terrace overlooking not only the valley but equally some of the main churches of Assisi. Simply mind blowing. When we got there, it was even better than we had imagined! Also the host was exceptional. She checked in with us if all was OK regularly answering any question promptly and giving us a wide array of tips as well as recommendations for dinner.
