I have found my favourite vacation spot in the yucatan! Staying at the Mundo Maya Uxmal hotel was a 10/10 experience for us. We originally booked two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband and I both thought it was just going to regular 4 star hotel near the popular Uxmal ruins in the nearby town. Oh was I so wrong! This hotel is situated in the bio reserve area in the Nuevo Uxmal park. The grounds were beautiful and immaculatly maintained by their dedicated staff

We stayed in 4 of these new hotels within 2 weeks. This one was empty and felt sad to be so forgotten and unused after a year.
The hotel DESPERATELY NEEDS SIGNS ON THE ROAD. You have to call for directions. Google Maps is wrong and staff knows this. Unlike every other hotel, this was unmarked and we spent over an hour trying to navigate without a WiFi signal.
The road to the hotel is long with blind spots. It will take 20 min from the road. Not sure who planned that absurd bike line but a two lane would feel safer.
The price and pool, amenities staff are great but wow, but a sign on the road or send txts to guests like the others did.
Food was best here.
