Colico is echt een onontdekt pareltje aan het Como-meer, met een fijne relaxte vibe. Mix van watersporters, wandelaars en fietsers en lokale toeristen, fijn zandstrand met plenty ruimte voor iedereen, dorpsplein met wat restaurantjes, en lekker old skool cafeetjes, markt op vrijdag, dansfeestjes in de zomer. Ferry naar de insta-plaatsen rondom het meer maar serieus: dat is niet te doen zo druk. Trein is dan beter. Casa del Rio is prima, uitzicht op stukje meer en de bergen (zooo mooi!), fijne sfeer. Wasmachine top, airco doet het goed zonder lawaai, gebouw is met rustige bewoners, 10 minuten lopen naar het meer. Alles is er maar dan op mini-formaat. Goede pannen en bestek is aanwezig. Niks mis mee. Fijne schone handdoeken en beddengoed. Vlakbij een supergoeie groenteboer en cafeetje ernaast voor een espresso met de locals. Goede communicatie. Alberto is supersnel!
Ik miste een broodrooster (zou echt fijn zijn) en een gewoon filterkoffie-apparaat en wat meer kommen en glazen. Maar geen drama dat dat er niet was. Wasmiddel zou fijn zijn geweest maar nu zelf gekocht en achtergelaten. De bedbank kan wel een upgrade gebruiken eigenlijk, al is het uitschuifsysteem wel fijn. En qua ruimte zou een langwerpige tafel die je aan het balkon hangt meer plek geven voor 4 personen. Maar dat is slechts een tip.

Very well equipped apartment with lots of space for a couple and unusually good provision of everything we could need including washing machine, proper window blinds and air con (it got very hot while we were there). Enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the mountains with our morning coffee. Located just away from the busy part of town but near a lovely cafe/deli/bakery and fruit/veg shop, easy to walk down to the lake and restaurants. Great cycling options around the area.
Neighbours were a bit loud at times but not for long and that's part of being in a community.
