Superb

The hotel is very nice and the staff very attentive. The location is amazing one step from the beach and very close to Heraklion city. The bus station is not far from the hotel for someone without a transportation. The area is quiet and relaxing with several options to Ammoudara. Breakfast is very good and the hotel restaurant is a nice place to end your day. Look forward to staying here again on our next visit.

Very nice hotel

The staff was incredibly nice. The location was excellent, directly at the beach but also very quiet.

The bathroom was a bit inconvenient, as there was no shower curtain. The double bed was made of two single beds pushed together, which was a bit annoying.

Very nice hotel

We had a very nice stay, very big and clean room with a nice sea view. The hotel is right in front of the beach and the beach chairs are free for the hotel guests. Good prices at the restaurant also and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The breakfast option is a bit limited but not to forget is a 2 star hotel.

Mr. Christos is very good host. Location can not be better, the hotel has the best views on sea. Everyone in hotel is friendly and helpful!

Cozy and perfect

What’s not to like? Very nice hotel, cozy, small but with everything you need for a nice stay in Crete. Well located, beach front, good food and nice people. All staff is great, Christos is exceptional

Owner/Host stayed up to greet each guest checking in, personally! I liked that personal touch!

Lovely central location, and the beach access is super close… hotel guests get free use of the beach chairs as well. fruit is served continuously to you on the beach, complimentary all day. You are free to come and go as you please. Staff are all welcoming and friendly. The family room is large and comfortable (we are a family of 4, with 2 teenagers)

Location is the best,near the beach, chairs are free for residents, good food and not expensive.

Times for the kitchen opening in the morning was not suitable for us.

The room does not match the photos.

The photos look very nice, but the rooms are far not as good as the photos. Very old room especially the bathroom, not clean nor comfortable, the furnitures are very cheap quality and door is broken. There are full of big stones on the beach, uncomfortable for walking. Next the beach is a big plant, seems like generating station.

recently refurbished, right on the beach, has a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner right on the beach

Exceptional

The generosity and kindness of the staff blew me away. On arrival, I was informed I'd given a room upgrade, which Christos explains he likes to do whenever possible. It really meant a lot to me! The room was beautifully decorated, comfy and well-resourced. I loved the balcony and the dual views to the mountains and the sea. My needs as a remote worker were accommodated with care: I was given a cosy spot and extension cable and the restaurant wifi was perfect, even when sitting closer to the beach. I can't thank Alex, Chrysa and Ioannis enough for their wonderful company and for helping a lone traveller find a home away from home. The food (and raki) was excellent! The location was perfect, easily accessible from the airport and the city centre. I was charmed by the surroundings, the small river near the hotel was fresh and cold, while the sea was warm and perfect for swimming on calm mornings. The views and sunset were spectacular. I might be going back to the office on Monday, but my head I am still at Aptera Beach :)

Exceptional

The hotel is very clean, the staff friendly, the room is very big, has everything you need as well as a very comfortable bed. The location is very quiet, just on the beach, has its own restaurant and terrace and by walking distance there are a lot more restaurants and shops. Perfect place for relaxing that i recommend to everyone and will definitely choose it again!

Amazing value for money

We had an amazing holiday at Aptera Beach. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds comfortable, the staff very pleasant. Any issue you might have, they fix it for you. The beach was lovely, with free beds and umbrellas, the sea was clean. Location is convenient to explore the area also with public transport. This is absolutely the best value for money we ever got. We travel on a budget as a family of 4, and this was fantastic.

We have wait more than 10min at the reception for Check in. No information given about the hotel facilities and even the Wi-Fi password, we have to ask twice. No hot water. The beds weren't ready, we have to make it by ourselves. Flea on the bed!

Exceptional

We stayed for only one night because our flight was canceled. The host Christos was very kind to give us his last room and even organized a Taxi for us to get picked up (no easy task since a storm hit the Island and around 25 flights were canceled). The room had a great view. The Breakfast was good, Christos even brought fresh local cheese Pockets for breakfast. Thanks again for the helping us in difficult times!

Cute holiday location and good value for the money

Such a cozy little beach hotel with all facilities needed in one place. Very relaxing place, and relatively easy to get to and from the city. The rooms have beautiful balconies as well. Very friendly and helpful staff!

My bathroom got flooded every time I showered, and it came water out of the drain on the floor even just by washing my face in the sink, but I’m sure they could’ve moved me to another room if I would’ve said something.

The location of the hotel right on the seashore. Room cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable. The owner very kind. The ratio price - conditions offered very good.

The doors and walls are thin and you can hear any noise from the neighbors. Sometimes the bathroom smells of sewage.

Greate location, good value for money

Great location. This hotel is situated right in front of a lovely sand beach, there are also some great restaurants and taverns nearby and a bus station (buses to Heraklion, airport and to the Knoss palace).

Water from the shower room is often poured into the main room. Perhaps the hotel management should take care of the additional drains in the shower. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable and spacious.
