Location was good
The kitchenware was very old; the frying pan was too scratched to use, and the toaster was dirty. There was a lot of accumulated dust in the room and on the ventilation vents, and the bedding had stains that wouldn't come out.

The location and view
The staff did not engage in any commom pleasantries, like 'welcome' or 'how was your stay' 'is there anything we can help you with during your stay'. A little goes a long way. It's not necessary to fawn all over guests but at the least an appropriate greeting or smile from the front desk would be very welcome and make the guests feel valued.
Additionally, the doonas were stained. I'm sure they were clean but the stains near where you have your face are a little disconcerting.
The balcony had clearly not been cleaned and the hall next to the kitchen also had a dirty mark on the floor. This was a little disappointing. A small thing but when you are paying good money you do expect that it has been thoroughly cleaned.

Location and views were excellent.
Our apartment was a little 'tired' and would benefit from redecoration. Having said that, it did not interfere with our stay.
