I have stayed in a lot of rentals. This was absolutely one of the nicest, if not the nicest place I've stayed. My son and I were there over the weekend for a baseball showcase and this place was perfect. Despite being within the Richmond city limits, it was a very quiet and serene setting. The interior was cozy and inviting, and a very smart use of space. This is not a cookie cutter “designed at a home improvement store” type of vibe. The inside of this place was designed and built by a real artisan who spent real time (I later found out that this was Ken, one of the owners) painstakingly crafting the space . In addition to the sturdy, well built, and functional construction, the place was wonderfully appointed. It was very clean, and there were details everywhere that showed that there was consideration for guests' comforts. I later found out that this is due to the other owner (and Ken's wife), Lenka, who takes care of all the details. We felt very comfortable and really like we were in a home away from home. Lastly, the owners were friendly, warm, and down-to-earth people - the kind of folks that you would want as neighbors. I cannot recommend this place more highly for any type of getaway to Richmond.

Cozy cottage close to downtown.. The owners have thought of everything to enhance your stay, and the serenity of the surroundings allows for a very restful experience! Enjoyed the walk to the river and having tea on the patio overlooking their beautiful backyard.

This was one of the best rentals I’ve ever experienced. Host was lovely to interact with, the space was super clean and well stocked. The beds were comfy, we wanted for nothing!
