Super friendly local family runs this hotel/guesthouse. Although very basic setup, it brings out a true Sri Lankan experience. Very good location to explore sinharaja forest. Very clean&eco balanced surroundings. No mosquitos even at night!

Отличный отель! Хорошая атмосфера спокойствия. Хотели остановиться на один день, но остановились на два из-за хорошего духовного состояния. Очень вкусная еда. Чуткий персонал. Замечательная природа вокруг. Есть несколько горных рек. Гиды и экскурсии по джунглям и водопадам доступны по ценам. Всем советую.

We stayed at Sinharaja Retreat Hotel for 2 nights. Yasindu was an amazing host, so friendly and helpful! Yasindu's father is the chef and everything we ate was delicious, we even got to try a local dish called Karen koku curry that we haven't seen anywhere else, so it felt very special!
Yasindu helped organise a tour with guide Saman. He was fantastic, we saw so many animals we would never had spotted on our own, he was happy to answer any questions we had and never made us feel rushed.
We had an amazing time and highly recommend a stay here!.
It is a little far from Deniyaya, there is a bus that goes to Lankagama Bridge (30 min walk to the hotel), but otherwise maybe going to Neluwa might be easier.

This place is located in a beautiful natural setting within walking distance of the Lankagama entrance to the Sinharaja Forest Reserve. It was especially helpful for managing our time efficiently. The warm and friendly welcome, along with the delicious breakfast prepared punctually each morning, truly deserves appreciation. With breathtaking views of the Sinharaja forested hills, this is a perfect place to relax and immerse yourself in nature.
