Great location — a 5–7 minute walk to Ballarò market and the central station, with a view over the city, the streets and the real everyday life of Palermo — it felt like being inside a Tornatore film, Cinema Paradiso come to life. The apartment was spacious, clean and quiet, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. I genuinely miss that view of Palermo and can’t wait to come back.
Only one small thing — the kitchen could use a few more basics, like a cutting board. Being right next to Ballarò, it would be a shame not to cook with fresh produce from the market, which we did anyway. A few extra utensils would make that even easier.
