The location lives up to the descriptor "secluded." The cabin is delightfully situated in woodland, with attractive outdoor seating areas. The interior is furnished to a very high standard: it is very clean and comfortable. Every kitchen gadget you could think of is provided. The cooking appliances, hot-water and bathroom are excellent. The information about the cabin is very comprehensive, although less so about parks and museums. Several interesting nature reserves are accessible by car, as is Bayford and its museum. Personal touches we appreciated included the poetry.
The location does not live up to the descriptor "waterfront." Indeed, it appears to be impossible to access the lake at Raspberry Bay. No signposted tracks or trails are accessible from the property. So we spent all our daytime away from the "secluded waterfront." The kitchen equipment could be even better had it included a couple of medium sized cooking pans (saucepans). We could not open the bathroom window to air the room. The mouse (or squirrel) that gnaws in the ceiling at night could have been quieter. The beautifully positioned terrace and exterior furniture would be even more inviting if cleaned. Despite its assets, and taking account of lack of local waterfront and trails, the price was high.
