The location is absolutely fantastic – right in the very heart of Verona, with a beautiful view towards the Arena. If location is your priority, it is hard to imagine a better place to stay.
The apartment itself was pleasant and being so close to everything made exploring Verona very easy and enjoyable.
The biggest downside was access and comfort. Travelling with a family means luggage, a lot of luggage!,
and carrying everything up the narrow stairs to the fourth floor was honestly exhausting.
We also had problems with the air conditioning, which was difficult and uncomfortable to control. Parking was another challenge, especially because of the restricted traffic zone in the city centre, and finding the correct access and parking nearby was far from easy.
One more thing worth mentioning: very early in the morning, from around 4 AM, there was a lot of noise outside because stage equipment was being moved by crane for a performance at the Arena. Of course, this is part of staying right in the centre of Verona, but it definitely affected our sleep.

Die Lage ist top. Direkt auf der Rückseite der Arena kann man in der Ipernsaison nachts die Musik hören auf dem (sehr schmalen) Balkon. Ein Café ist direkt im Haus und man kann von hier ganz Verona bequem zu Fuß erkunden. Es ist sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. Eine Außenmauer des Gauses ist ein Rest der alten römischen Stadtmauer. Toll!
Die Eigentümerin weiß offenbar, dass die Lage unschlagbar ist und gibt sich wenig Mühe. Kommunikation geht nur auf Italienisch. In der Wohnung fanden wir weder eine Begrüßung noch eine Gebrauchsanweisung für die Haustechnik. So haben wir in der ersten Nacht mit der Klimaanlage gekämpft um am nächsten Tag zu erfahren, dass diese fernegesteuert ist und man die Eigentümerin via Whatsapp bitten muss, die Temperatur per Fernzugriff zu ändern. Ein Hinweis darauf in der Wohnung wäre hilfreich gewesen. Dann ging das WLAN nicht mehr und über eineinhalb Tage erhielten wir Anweisungen über Whatsapp, was wir am Router machen sollen. Als das Ding endlich wieder lief, weder eine Entschuldigung für die Unannehmlichkeiten, noch ein Danke dafür, dass wir den Reparaturdienst übernommen haben. Nur ein „OK“. Herzlich und serviceorientiert ist anders. Schade!
