It was surprisingly good, considering all the bad reviews here. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Easy checkin too. Close to public transport.
The shared bathroom is on the ground floor, it was such a hassle to go down the steep stairs just to go to the toilet.

The staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable, check in information was prompt and accurate and gave good directions. The room smelled nice and had fresh sheets, and the tv was set to a fireplace video on YouTube which was quite welcoming. The lock to the property was very secure and the doors were all fire doors which was reassuring.
The bathrooms were incredibly unclean, with fabric rugs/ mats in both (perpetually damp, covered in stains). The upstairs bathroom had a lot of black mould in the corners and the grout, lots of open tiles behind the toilet. The downstairs bathroom didn't have a sink, just a toilet and shower - the door was also quite difficult to lock, so my partner sat in the common area to guard the door whilst I showered. The shower wasn't awful, but there are improvements to be made for keeping it clean. Another fabric mat in front of the toilet. The shower head and drain were quite unclean, and the nozzles on the shower head were almost all black. The sink in the common area outside the downstairs bathroom had no hand soap, and the plug had gotten stuck. Other patrons had continued to fill the sink with dirty water from brushing their teeth. The property is not accessible for disabled people at all. It is like a maze with stairs placed in random places. The floors were incredibly loud and creaky. It was impossible to move around without causing a lot of noise. Prior to checkout, a staff member began knocking on doors to ask us if we would be paying to stay later and implying that we were overstaying our checkout (this was 30 minutes prior to check out). There was no way to lock our door from the inside, so if staff had decided to walk in, they could have at any moment, which was quite unsettling.
