From many locations we stayed during our over a month-long visit to Tenerife this one was by far the best.
The apartment was new, fully equipped (it even has Sonos speakers in the ceiling)
and Nico - who is managing it - was a charm. We came late and picked keys from the locker in his office 500m from the apartment. Everything was provided for the first two-three days and some welcome gesture as well.
You have everything you may need or you can ask Nico to help.
Two bathrooms/showers really make a difference when you are a family and we do used the terrace for dining - so you have more space than you expect.
The apartment is organized in a way you can have a constant breeze through and it is in the shadow - so it was not hot inside - we barely used the air conditioners, which are two.
With your keys you have an access to all of the complex, not only sport facilities, but at least two pools to choose from. We used all we could get.
The whole complex is closed gate community with lavish garden.
Supermarket is conventionally just across the street.
You have several restaurants, another supermarket (with orange press) and Belgian bakery in a walking distance.
As a free add-on you have a natural reserve for your walks/running/jogging - we walked 3km to a picturesque lighthouse - you can go uphill through the complex in direction of the mountain - your keys allow you to use any gates/exits.
Nothing, but there are several points you should consider.
The ocean is a walk to take - around 1km of it. And even if you do walk - there is not much of a beach there (even the one organized and paid one is separate from the water and there is not much place to bathe in). During more than two weeks we only went there several times mostly for the sundown.
The view you get from the apartment is garden and volcanic wall (no neighbors) - if this matters to you.
Palm Mar is somewhat isolated place - you definitely better have a car if you plan to stay. The only bus line that runs there works on weekdays and only three-four buses in the early morning and same in the afternoon. And the taxis will use it. Same applies to supermarkets who charge at least 20% extra on most items. We ended renting a car just to go shopping/explore the surroundings.
