Helios is a beautiful hotel! The staff was great and helpful with park info.
PROS-get a room that looks over the park, amazing!! Rooms were nice and cozy. Loved the shower head and the hair dryer worked so good. The market was our favorite place for breakfast and a late night treat at the hotel. Loved the early access and the convenience of having the hotel to take mini breaks when needed. Also, the shuttles worked great for day2 getting to the other parks.
CONS-We made reservations at Helios bar. Spent almost $200 on a couple of small starter plates and 3 drinks, which is insane. Not a lot of options for families to dine. The food at the pool bar was cheaper and so much better. Colorful nachos was the win for my family.
I didn’t give a bad rating for this but our floor had a horrible smell the second night through the rest of our trip. Not sure if someone got sick on this floor but every time we stepped off the elevator, there was an overwhelming stench. We power walked to our room and down. And they didn’t really offer an accommodation or fix for the power but I assumed we weren’t the only ones complaining.
