The property is clean, and neat. The location is amazing (close to old quarter, yet calm to sleep) owner did provide everything.
The shower is great and refreshing.
You feel so secure. Especially with the garage gets closed in the night (don’t get panic if you don’t find the door 😂 just read the instructions)
You can wash your clothes in the washing machine upstairs and a spot where you can leave them to dry.
Lovely experience as a first time visiting Vietnam.

Wir als Deutsche fanden das Bad etwas irritierend, weil es keine separate Dusche gibt sondern das komplette Bad genutzt wird. Aber das war nur eine Kleinigkeit

The location was good and the apartment was large enough and comfortable, generally clean.
Overall it was a good stay except a few details.
In the bathroom there is no proper shower cabin but you shower in the middle of it, splashing water all around. For some reason this is the case in many Vietnamese acccommodations, so we didn't mind this so much.
There was a window but looking onto a wall very close so on the ground floor don't expect natural light. We found a cockroach one morning which is not surprising after the streets are full of them.

The view from the room was nice. The bed was comfortable.
The place looks very nice in the pictures, but in reality it is quite run down. The bathroom was the biggest problem. There was no shower curtain or any kind of barrier, so the entire bathroom flooded every time we showered. It was clearly in need of renovation.
However, our main issue during the stay was the communication with the staff. I see that many people comment that the staff are very responsive, which was true—but only after we arrived. A few days before our arrival we tried contacting the hotel through Booking.com but received no response for several days. We even had to contact Booking.com customer service and ask them to reach out to the hotel, but still got no reply. Since we suspected there might not be a reception or staff on site, we were expecting some information about how to check in, whether we could leave our bags etc. Luckily, just as we landed at the airport, the hotel finally got in touch. After that, they were very responsive.
However, they informed us that the apartment we had booked was not available for the first night due to an issue with the bathroom. Instead, we were offered a smaller room, which was acceptable for us. When they later requested payment, however, no deduction had been made for the first night. We found this strange since the room we stayed in the first night was clearly smaller and had fewer amenities than the one we originally booked. When we pointed this out, they said we could pay less—but only if we agreed that they could tell Booking.com that we had never shown up. This seemed very strange to us, and since the discount offered was quite small, we decided to just pay the full price instead.
Actually making the payment was also a hassle since there is no reception and no staff available on site. Coordinating with the staff to make the payment was unsuccessful so we ended up just leaving cash in the apartment when checking out.
