Christina is an excellent and accommodating host. Even if you prefer hotels over the more intimate B&B experience, staying at An Carraig Ard didn’t feel like you were being watched, or that you had to be on your best behaviour. It was an entirely relaxing experience, with plenty of quiet places to sit and be by yourself at any time of the day or night! Having 24 hour access to a large and welcoming kitchen was also great help - perfect coffees in the morning, rather than those unsatisfying hotel room coffees!
I never cope well with less than a six foot bed, but that’s just me being me!

We booked this place so we wouldn't have far to drive after our night kayaking at Lough Hyne. It turned out to be a great location for all of our day trips.
Christine was a fantastic hostess. She gave lots of recommendations for food in the area. She made great breakfasts.
