We have stayed at the Maritime with our kids on 2 occasions for long weekends and have always had a great experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are great. Free parking is also a big bonus and the location is brilliant.
We stayed over the Halloween weekend and there was a kids party on our floor. Unfortunately the corridors to the rooms weren't supervised and the kids were running riot in the hallways. I did call reception and in fairness they settled it down eventually.

The food was good and the staff were attentive and friendly. When we asked to move rooms after the first night, the change was made without any questions which was a relief - 'Thank you' to the young lady on reception who made that happen. Both rooms we stayed in were well equipped. (See views from the top floor room attached).
We spent our first night of two in a first floor room overlooking the bay across the road. The noise from the road was so loud that on more than one occasion we checked that the windows were actually closed. They were, but the standard of sound proofing definitely needs improving. We both had a very poor nights sleep! For the second night we moved to a room on the 4th floor that was quieter, and we both slept better. If we return it would only be to stay in a top floor room.
