Avoid this property. It is not safe.

The location was suitable for our needs, which were one night's accommodation before and after the Pondoland hike.

Avoid this accommodation at all costs. The property is in a poor state of repair, unclean, and ultimately unsafe. During our stay, our vehicle was broken into while parked in the driveway overnight, with the driver’s window smashed. In a separate incident, an intruder broke through the house’s concrete “burglar bars” and stole several thousand rands’ worth of personal belongings from the bedroom while we were inside the house. Given these serious safety concerns, I cannot recommend this accommodation under any circumstances.

The location was suitable for our needs - accommodation for one night before and one night after the Pondoland hike,

We stayed at this house twice — one night before the Pondoland hike and one night at the end. While we didn’t need much for our brief stopovers, we found the house to be poorly stocked and unclean. Too few sheets were provided for the beds, the kitchen was poorly equipped and had insufficient cutlery, and the bathroom was missing a door. Most concerning was the stove, which was unsafe to use. The glass top fell over while cooking and nearly caused serious burns to the person preparing the meal, who had to jump out of the way to avoid injury. Overall, the property did not meet basic standards for comfort, cleanliness or safety.
