About this house rental
Waterside property ideally located for those wanting to be out the way but only 2 minute walk from the heart of the village. Upside down configuration to make the best of the balconies and water side view. Bedrooms that sleep 5 on the ground floor and large and airy open plan first floor loft style living area with large lounge, dining area and kitchen plus two balconies at each end of the house. Wifi available.

Lovely, peaceful locationOnly a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Horning, with its shops/coffee houses/pubs and other eateries, you will find South Wood.The charming, wooden, upside-down house is in an excellent location.The upper floor has a cosy feel, with the balcony at each end of the room offering wonderful, interesting views.The lower floor provided comfortable, spacious bedrooms. On a couple of occasions, when opening the curtains in the morning, we were greeted by a male & female swan and their family of eight very young cygnets just below our bedroom window. Claire was an excellent host. We were confident she was a phone call away should we have any problems. The welcome gifts of Prosecco and chocolates were much appreciated. Thank you ClaireWe enjoyed our stay at South Wood so much that we have already booked to return next May. This will be the first time we have ever returned to a self-catering, holiday home…. it was that good!

South Wood is a beautiful property in a wonderful location close to the water on the Norfolk Broads with incredible views.

The house was amazing, a home from home. It had everything you could need and more. Fabulous view of the river, boats and paddle steamer from the balcony. There's a 5-10 min walk to the shop and small cafe also The Swan Pub, 2 other pubs just few mins further down. Best to book though. Food amazing! Hired boats from Herbert Woods, Potter Heigham, the Seals at Horsey Gap is a must! Not forgetting The Radar Museum, Defford, visit to Wroxham & Norwich Cathedral.
