This was our message to the owner:Andrew, I am Miles Locke’s wife and wanted to send you a message. Only avid gardeners can truly appreciate your lovely home and gardens. This is our annual cousin trip and the three ladies, including me garden in our respective homes. Two are from FL and my husband and I are from TX. We have so enjoyed your home and the explanation on all the cases of the artifacts. We have used vrbo for many years and several times each year and yours is the best. So much thought went in to all the explanation cards and your kitchen has nothing lacking. Thank you again for such a wonderful home.

The house is like a 1960s-1970s museum of artifacts throughout the home.lots of art, photographs and history written on postcards. Unfortunately, my first impression was that there is a very strong pet urine smell in the teal colored carpet at the entry that leads to the master. It stayed with us throughout our 4 night stay. Looks to de a lot of deferred maintenance on outside of property and old carpet but 100 percent we enjoyed the stay minus the urine smell .The home is comfortable, has lots of cookware, clean, and we enjoyed the deck and living room. No smart tv, internet worked well. The access to the river was too difficult for us to get to but the sounds of the river were nice in the generous size master with beautiful views. I appreciated the simple check out process, the comfortable bed and sheets, and the pretty flowers thoroughout the property. The neighborhood is nice for walking, but there is no grass or fenced yard for walking your dog. The distance to restaurants and major stores beyond a convienance store was 30-35 min. If they replace the carpet - it’ll be a 10 out of 10. Getting info from property manager before arrival was slow at response but it worked out. The two extra bedrooms were very small but functional.

We enjoyed our stay, great accommodation, pet friendly, convenient location, close to places we wanted to visit, Redwood National and State Parks, Crescent and Klamath, CA and Brookings, OR. Beautiful view from the decks, great room and master bedroom - overlooking at the Smith River. Communication was great, check in was a breeze and property was very welcoming just like advertised. kitchen had plenty of dishes and quality cookware. Lots of condiments and staples available as well. A quick walk to the river and the kids enjoyed a dip everyday. Amazing experience indeed. Highly recommended!

This was such a beautifully, perfect home for our family’s vacation. Hopefully one day we can come back to stay again and create more memories.
