Guest Access:

The Neighborhood:

Jamaica Plain, known fondly to locals as JP, is one of the most characterful neighborhoods in Boston, known for its green spaces and its food scene. Chilacates on Amory Street is about a 10 minute walk and a local favorite for tacos, and Centre Street, lined with restaurants, cafes, and independent shops, is around 15 minutes on foot. The Arnold Arboretum and Franklin Park are both a 20 minute walk or a short drive away. JP's proximity to downtown Boston makes this a great base for guests who want to explore the city while enjoying the local flavor of the neighborhood.

Getting Around:

Green Street station on the Orange Line is about a 7 minute walk and puts you in downtown Boston in roughly 15 minutes. If you are exploring Centre Street, the 39 bus runs to Back Bay Station. JP is one of the most bike-friendly neighborhoods in Boston and the Southwest Corridor Park runs all the way to Back Bay. Bluebikes, Boston's bike share program, is available for $10 per day and the closest station is at Green Street. Rideshare is widely available throughout the neighborhood. The home includes one designated off-street parking space in the rear lot, and full directions to it are sent with your check-in details. Street parking in the area is very limited and not recommended, so we suggest using the assigned space.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this Boston property. The location was ok, with some access to restaurants, attractions, and public transportation. The home was clean, comfortable, and generally well-equipped for our needs. The beds were comfortable, and the space matched the listing description well. The check-in process was somewhat cumbersome, but the property management was responsive and helpful. The renters above the unit were a bit noisy at times as the ceilings and floors are not very soundproof. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but all we really needed was sleeping space for six for graduation. Considering the premium we paid, I would look elsewhere next time we are visiting Boston.

Found street parking easily. Great location with park and Pond near by. Plenty of space and comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood. A few minor issues but management responded right away. One bedroom is very, very small but would be fine for children. The other bedrooms are perfectly situated and comfortable. Much light and with two decks to sit on- front and side it makes the space feel even larger. Would definitely stay again.

Overall nice unit for the price. Not sure if it was throughly cleaned prior to check in. Dirty towels on the couch, used soap in the shower but host was very responsive and wanted to make it right. You can hear everything in the unit above…pulling out chairs, walking around etc but that is to be expected from a second floor unit. Close enough to downtown and ubering is not to expensive.

This was a very nice place with lots of room and a great layout — all on one level, which was super convenient. I was traveling with my 83-year-old mom, so I really appreciated that it didn’t have stairs. It also worked out perfectly for my niece’s baby — plenty of open space for her to play on the floor. It’s an older home with some creaks, and you can definitely hear footsteps from upstairs (pretty sure there are kids up there). The parking spot was a plus, though a little tricky to find at first. Furnishings were lovely and comfortable, but if all the bedrooms were full, there wouldn’t be quite enough seating in the main area. Water pressure was on the low side, and there weren’t any Kleenex — small details, but noticeable when you’re paying a premium. The location was absolutely perfect — I chose it to be close to my niece, and it couldn’t have been better for that. Customer service was fantastic and super responsive any time I had a question.I know I have high expectations when I travel, especially when spending this much, and at around 790/night (almost 4,000 for 5 nights with fees and taxes), it did feel pricey. But overall, it was a great property close to family that worked really well for our stay.
