About this house rental
The Daily Double Cottage is your ticket to both adventure and relaxation. Two bedrooms, two full bath remodeled 1930s cottage that is two blocks from Oaklawn Racing and Casino and minutes from bathhouse row downtown. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the racetrack or casino on well-lit streets. The walk is as close as from their parking lot so no parking fees! 1 mile to Majestic Park - we welcome all travel baseball and softball families.
Beautiful original hardwood floors. Updated kitchen has all the amenities you will want or need, along with stocked snacks and coffee. Queen beds in both bedrooms and a queen sleeper will keep you comfortable along with three smart TVs.
Both bathrooms have been completely remodeled with custom tiled showers and one with a tub, along with new vanities. Laundry facility with washer and dryer. Outdoor deck for outdoor entertaining, fire pit with a rock patio, charcoal grill, and children’s picnic table all in a completely fenced in back yard. Concrete driveway with carport along with off street parking.
Pets can be accommodated with prior approval and non-refundable pet deposit.

Host was very responsive to questions prior to arrival and a couple while we were there.Sadly it rained every day we were at the house so we were unable to enjoy the firepit but there was a break to enjoy breakfast one morning on the back patio! The kitchen was stocked with the basic cookware. If you want to do serious cooking like you were in Your Kitchen bring your own pots/pans, etc.The bathrooms were the perfect size, towels so fluffy and soft and the beds were comfortable. There were games and books and even candles to make the stay feel like home. Connecting to the TVs were easy-peasy.The drive way accommodates 2 cars in a single driveway, worked just fine for my sister and I. Neither of us are pet people but there was a convenient dog door in the kitchen if someone had a pet, yet the house did not smell like animals had been there before and NO prior dog hair on the towels (this was priceless for me).The location was a perfect distance from downtown and we felt safe coming in at 12pm, 7pm and 1am - we stayed out a bit late at a hotel lobby with a live band but there were no issues driving home even with the casino a few blocks away. We look forward to coming back next year.

Renovated and charming, this gem of a property maintains history and offers modern convenience. The property owners put much thought into the details. We especially enjoyed the turntable and records. It does offer off street parking however, my big rig didn’t fit under the carport. No big deal as I was happy I didn’t need to park on the street.You are literally two blocks from Oaklawn, so if in town for the races, this is your place. Getting to bathhouse row requires a drive, as it is a bit further and I wouldn’t recommend walking through a part of the area between the house and the bathhouses. There’s plenty of restaurant choices and I recommend looking beyond the tourist area We particularly enjoyed The Goat Mediterranean and The Best Cafe.
