The Sleepy Hollow Retreat property includes two elegantly restored historical cabins, an event barn with a cedar hot tub, and a barrel sauna.
In the Main Cabin, enjoy an open living space with a fully-equipped, gourmet kitchen, dining area, and cozy living room with electric fireplace. Two bedroom suites each feature king beds and upscale bathrooms with steam showers. Both bedrooms have french doors that open onto a small deck where you can sit among the aspen trees.
The separate Bunkhouse is a sweet studio cabin with a twin over queen bunk bed and a quiet deck with gorgeous views towards Longs Peak.
The Event Barn is a serene gathering space next to Rock Creek with a spring-fed cedar hot tub and plenty of room for group activities, yoga, meditation, or just lounging by the river.
Artistic attention to detail throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces offers a rare chance to relax year round in Colorado style. Sleepy Hollow Retreat is located in the historic town of Ferncliff with easy access to miles of trails. Situated at the southern tip of Rocky Mountain National Park, just south of Longs Peak and the Wild Basin entrance to the park, the cabin is near popular trailheads as well as less crowded trails more off the beaten path. Ferncliff is located 3 miles from the St. Vrain Mountain Trailhead, 6 miles from the Wild Basin Trailhead, and 9 miles to the Longs Peak Trailhead. Lastly, we're 8 miles from a local gem called the Middle St. Vrain Trailhead known for its stunning views and access to the Indian Peaks Wilderness. In winter, this trailhead is an ideal place to enjoy snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sleepy Hollow! The main house was very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The steam showers were amazing. The outside pavilion (with hot tub) and the fire pit area were our main “hang outs” since it was so pleasant to sit out by the creek. The bunkhouse provided extra sleeping space so our five adults were very comfortable at this property. The sauna was an added bonus. The property is close to some great hiking. The owner was very pleasant to talk with and provided lots of great information about the property and the area. We hope to stay there again next year!

We enjoyed our time here. The sounds of the creek were wonderful to listen to in the morning. The cabin is fun and the decor was great, lots of fun little finds throughout, a nice mix of the original cabin and new updates. The owners were really responsive when we had an issue, and spent several hours trying to fix it over the weekend. The lights and steam in the shower were great! If you are really sensitive to smell, there was a cabin-y smell that I've had a hard time getting out of my clothes, but my husband didn't notice it at all. The location was closer to the convenience store than we expected, but it wasn't a problem and was very quiet the whole time.
