Tucked into a lovely Sunriver setting, Backwoods 6 is a single-level retreat with the relaxed character of a modern farmhouse. Designed with couples and families in mind, the home offers comfortable gathering spaces, thoughtful amenities, and easy access to The Village and Sunriver’s miles of paved pathways.
Inside, the living room invites you to settle in after a day outdoors, with comfortable leather furnishings, a large TV, a wood-burning fireplace, and a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping space. The open kitchen is well suited for family meals, with generous counter space, updated appliances, a gas range, and dining for up to eight.
The single-level layout keeps the sleeping arrangements simple and comfortable. Bedroom One has a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and double sinks. Bedroom Two has a queen bed, a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and cable TV. A second full bathroom with a shower-over-tub is conveniently located nearby.
Outside, the private enclosed hot tub offers a quiet place to unwind beneath the Central Oregon sky. For a little friendly competition, ping pong and foosball provide easy entertainment back at home.
When it is time to explore, four adult cruiser-style bikes make it easy to set out along Sunriver’s paved pathways, while The Village at Sunriver is just a short walk away for dining, shopping, coffee, and ice cream. Spend the day biking, golfing, floating the river, or exploring Central Oregon, then return to soak in the hot tub and spend the evening beside the fire.
Planning a larger family gathering? Backwoods 6 can be booked alongside nearby Backwoods 3, allowing extended families and groups to stay close while still enjoying their own space.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Guests must be 23 years or older to rent Bennington homes, and the person reserving must occupy the home for the whole reservation.

The house was great, very clean and nice. Very family-friendly house and location. The bikes and games in the garage were a huge plus. We will definitely be looking to book again this summer.

Super clean and cozy. Well equipped, comfy beds, and good sharp knives (a rarity). My one complaint was that the main tv was so old - had to watch the men’s hockey team win gold all grainy cause no HD. It’s like listening to tape cassettes after getting used to CDs.

Pros: The home is spotless, very well appointed and has some nice amenities (hot tub, nice BBQ, ping pong table, bikes). It’s spacious, and would be great for a family vacation. It is right across the street from the village, so a quick and easy walk. Cons/Opportunities for improvement: The garage side of the home is on a quiet street, however the deck, hot tub and back of the house are situated on a busy road with lots of traffic and noise. In addition, there is a trail right in front of the deck and there is a constant stream of bikes/pedestrians, so no privacy. This might be okay for a family, but we were seeking some quiet and solitude, so not optimal for us. The interior of the home is quite dark, especially the master bedroom… some additional/brighter lights would help tremendously. And finally, the mirror in the master bath is warped, like a funhouse mirror - impossible to do hair or makeup without feeling like you’ve had several drinks and been on a roller coaster ;-)… definitely could be replaced. The property management company was wonderful and proactive with communication about the property and check in/out process. Overall it’s a lovely home and close to the village, just not ideal for those seeking some quiet and solitude.
