Arcadia Hotel

The location was convenient for our stay and what we needed. However, the seal under the door had a big gap and we experienced a lot of bugs within our room.

Nice hotel easy to check in check

Alright, here's what you have to know, it's an old 1960/70s hotel that's been made over. They've updated it enough that it feels somewhat modern. I stayed in a king room with a "kitchenette" and that is the reason for me leaving less than 5 stars. It's not a kitchenette at all, it's a counter with a microwave and dorm fridge. No sink and, more frustrating, no cook surface at all. When I travel, I enjoy having the ability to cook for myself, so I get a kitchenette/ kitchen. Aside from that, the grounds are clean, it is in an ugly part of town, but the property is generally nice. Arrive as early as possible because parking is limited and though there is an overflow parking, it's a short walk and again in an ugly area. The last issue was that it's NOT handicapped accessible from what I saw. All the rooms are second floor up a flight of stairs. I've got bad knees, so it was another unexpected issue. If you're in a pinch or want to stay at an eclectic hotel, this is your place. And, bonus, the Mexican place next door was REALLY good! Helped take the edge of the irritation of the "kitchenette".

This place is beautiful… newly remodeled, very stylish and the best shower ever. But it’s also very tiny. No closet, but plenty of hooks. I like the contactless check in process and being able to go right to my room.
