About this cottage rental
*** TO ENSURE THE SAFETY & PEACE OF MIND OF OUR VALUED GUESTS due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have input a more stringent standard of cleaning to include complete sterilization of surfaces in the cottage between guests. We are also asking any guests who travel outside of the country within a month prior to check-in to inform us so that we may comprehensively assess the situation ***
Charming cottage in quiet setting close to the lake in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. 2 bedrooms; both with a queen size bed. High quality linens provided. Full bathroom with tiled shower with glass doors. Hairdryer in bathroom. Comfortable living room with cozy gas stove for the winter months. Wireless internet. Newly refinished hardwood floors. New stainless steel appliances in fully-stocked kitchen. Backyard patio has gas barbecue and 4 outdoor chairs with tables. Beautifully landscaped property. Garage available for parking. One block to lake. Non smoking. Due to the damage to property and the cottage we no longer allow pets on this property; apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
There is an additional fee for a third or fourth guest of $25/night/person (adult or child).

A truly charming, very comfortable cottage with a lovely back garden. Everything you would need is already there. We didn't want to leave!

What a charming little property. Beautiful and clean. Close to everything we needed. Walking distance to our conference which was great and it was nice to walk to the lake to watch people fish or just sit under a tree and appreciate the beautiful scenery. The host was so friendly, really reminded me of our good ol’ Canadian values of being kind to one another. I will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely cottage, well equipped with everything you need. Lovely peaceful garden to sit out in with lots of wildlife around. Location is perfect in a very quiet neighbourhood just steps from the lake and a leisurely 10 to 15 minute walk to the town with its many shops and restaurants. Fort George is also just a short walk away.

The host showed up twice without telling us, it was very weird. On our first morning, we were getting ready to go to the vineyards, and the owner knocked on the door and said he had to get something in the garage. My friend had to move her car, so that he could put two buckets inside the garage. It was very unnecessary and seemed like he was trying to spy on us in a very creepy way. If there was something he needed urgently out of the garage, message us, to let us know that you’re coming. This was unacceptable to us. The house was left unlocked for our “check in”, and the keys were right inside the house in a drawer. This felt very unsafe to us, as the host did not ask me what time we were getting there, so how long was the house left unlocked for? We didn’t get there until almost 5pm, so definitely left unlocked for at least 2 hours. The host also showed up at exactly 11am on our checkout day. No warning or anything. I’ve never had this happen in all of my years of renting. They said they were coming to clean the house and needed to get started immediately. Instead of staying in their car and allowing us the extra 4 minutes it took to get the last of our things in the car, they went in the garage and were just standing around watching us pack up from a few feet away. It was very uncomfortable and we felt like unwanted guests being evicted, not paying customers needing a couple extra minutes. My friend got seriously injured, and there is no first aid kitIce tray was gross
