Monbazillac is one of the beautiful apartments in our exclusive building on the charming Place Dauphine square. Right in the heart of the city on the Ile de la Cité Place Dauphine is a historic location, having been built in 1610 at the request of Kind Henri IV. You will be surrounded by history while enjoying every modern convenience. We have remodeled the entire building, State of the art elevator, separate washer and dryer, high security digital locks and double-glazed windows for good sound insulation allows guests to enjoy contemporary comforts in a remarkable 17th century setting.
Located on the fifth and sixth floors, the ONE BEDROOM PENTHOUSE Monbazillac boasts a comfortable queen bed, ensuite bathroom, a powder room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a romantic dinner at your home away from home or open some French wine and take in the STUNNING VIEW FROM THE BEAUTIFUL BALCONY with a breath-taking vista of the Paris skyline including the towers of Notre Dame and the spire of Saint Chapelle.
The penthouse is split over two floors with an internal staircase that leads from the bedroom and bathroom on the 5th floor to the living room, kitchen, powder room and balcony on the 6th floor. While the steps are well lit and wider than usual for staircases in France, it is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations.
Just OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR is one of the most coveted secret spots in Paris, the beautiful Place Dauphine. The square is lined with historic buildings from the early 1600s and is full of trees and a few perfectly placed benches to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. It is also a popular spot for locals to play a game of pétanque, which you can enjoy watching in the square or just listen to the soft clink of the steel balls used in the traditional French game from your window. The area is also popular with lawyers who work nearby at the Palais de Justice, so there are excellent cafés and restaurants to enjoy.

Max occupancy includes all members of your travel party, including children under the age of 2.
There is an elevator to the property. Internal spiral stairs (13 steps) are steep and require extra caution when navigating to the second level. The property is not handicap accessible.

We were supposed to be there the opening week of the French Open (May 25th). It was HOT outside, 95 degrees. Anyone who knows Paris, knows that they can't handle this kind of heat....nor could this unit. We were scheduled to stay 5 nights but it was consistently hotter in this unit with the A/C running, than it was outside. They came to "reset" the A/C but this did nothing. The fact of the matter is that the two A/C units were either broken, grossly undersized or both. We didn't sleep that night. In fairness to "Paris Perfect" who manages this place, they did, after several emails, agree to refund me 3.5 nights of the stay less the portion that was charged by VRBO (after a much less than generous first offer). We left the 2nd day around 3pm after spending the morning looking for hotels with A/C that had availability. This unit is on the top floor and it managed to get all of the heat of the building below it. It was reported that many died that night due to the heat.....we didn't want to be the next ones. If you are going in the summer....be warned.
