Instructions to park and access the apartment were simple and straightforward. It would help to know in the welcome message that it's easier to bring luggage in from the back of the building, as the apartment is across from the back door. (We took some luggage through the front and down the stairs at first) The space was clean, and the air conditioner was fantastic for our two days of 85-90 weather.The ceiling has some water damage from a leak (most likely from the above tenant) it's superficial, and we weren't bothered by the look. I did, however, travel with an electrician who took the opportunity to cap the exposed wires from the main light fixture as they were exposed, live, and hot. (Who knew if the next guests would be smart enough not to touch it). Laundry is 3 per load in coin op machines just outside the apartment door. We walked to fenway multiple times, within 15 minutes, and doordashed multiple orders without issue.Would stay again!

Check-in was easy and as directed. It was great to have a parking space out back. I wish I had known that it was easier to get into the basement apartment from the back parking lot, rather than bringing everything in from the front door. It is a basement apartment with no outside light. Ceiling lights don’t work so you get the light from floor lamps. We were able to check in an hour early, but it was on a whim that I tried since I had emailed, messaged and tried calling the host multiple times prior to arriving and never received any contact back from them. There was less than one roll of toilet paper in the apartment so I did have to buy more. The washers and dryers are coin operated, but the host did leave quarters for that purpose. The washer and dryers were right next to the entrance to the apartment so it was convenient. The apartment did appear clean. I wish I had known ahead of time that there are two rollout twin beds. I would like to have used one of them, but the host never responded when she asked the question if I needed it so the bed was not made and I’m not sure there were extra sheets there. They only supply one towel and one washcloth per person so I would recommend bringing extras unless you plan on doing laundry regularly. The location was excellent for attending Boston University graduation. It would be a great location for a Red Sox game as well. It is easy to catch the train at Kenmore Square. I would not stay in a basement apartment again.
