About this bed and breakfast
The cute and cozy Posy Room is located on the second floor of the Primrose Bed & Breakfast. This room accommodates 2 guests with its queen-sized bed and ensuite bathroom.
Conveniently located 20 minutes away from Ohio University and 5 minutes away from Hocking College, allowing you to visit your student whenever you please.

Located in the heart of Nelsonville, guests are 1 block away from the charming Historic Square, HockHocking Adena Bikeway, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Rhapsody Restaurant, Stuart’s Opera House and numerous other quaint restaurants and storefronts. Guests are just a short drive to Hocking College, Hocking Hills State Parks, Lake Hope State Park, and Ohio University. Stay at our beautiful National Register Victorian House to explore, experience, and enjoy all nearby attractions in Athens, Logan, and Nelsonville, Ohio.
At the Primrose Bed & Breakfast, guests are welcomed to a beautiful peach colored home with a large, spacious front porch with a porch swing. This 1892 home was built by Dr. Isaac Porter Primrose. It was once his doctor’s office and the home to his family. After being a residence for over a century, the home was completely restored as a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. The Primrose House, along with the Hyde House, are two of the oldest homes in Nelsonville.
Upon entering the home, guests will notice the gorgeous oak trim, hardwood floors, colorful stained glass transoms, original kitchen cabinets with marble countertops, and the beautiful antique stove/oven. There is a dining area where homemade breakfast is served each morning, a sitting room where guests can play a game of chess, and lovely outdoor spaces with patios, decks, and a beautiful botanical backyard garden where guests can spend time relaxing, unwinding, or enjoying a take home meal from a local restaurant.

it was perfect for a reasonable room rate. the room was smallish, but worked for the situation. bed was comfortable.

I didn't eat breakfast but the wife said it was good, nothing great but good. There are not many food choices in the town anymore but we really enjoyed the Mexican Restaurant on Canal Street, food was excellent and so was the service. Friendly people

Bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. That is all you need if you are in the area to hike.

Room was clean. No water pressure. Breakfast ok. Toast, sausage, hashbrowns, and some sheet pancake?They can't control the neighbors, but a barking dog left outside was a turn off. Bed was very uncomfortable and there was extension cords left around. Wires are easily managed with a few dollar items from Amazon. It was cheaply priced but we left early due to bed and weather (second part not their fault. 3 stars
