About this house rental
The Bird's Nest is located in a peaceful neighborhood that is surrounded by lush greenery and bird songs can be heard throughout the day & tree frogs at night. The house sits high above the ground which makes it feel as if you are staying in a tree house. The road in front of the home is paved and available for walks or runs. We are located about 4 miles from a couple of beautiful hikes to either a black and white sandy beach or tide pools.
We are located about 15 minutes from Hilo, 5 miles from Pahoa and 4 miles from the ocean and sea cliffs to walk along. Volcano National Park is about a 30 minute drive and we are about a 1 1/2 hour drive over Saddle Road to white sandy beaches.

The Birds Nest was a great stay. The check-in process was seamless and due to our late arrival, the hosts were very gracious and left lights on AND sourdough muffins. The home is clean, very inviting and great combo of in and outdoor spaces.

I had a very short stay at the Birds Nest - but and I loved it. The space was soothing and lovely, private and very very clean. It’s in a great location to get everywhere. And thoughtfully designed! Loved the big sprawling deck in the back! I would definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend the Bird's Nest as accommodations for exploring both Volcanoes National Park and the Hilo area. The property interior is beautifully updated, spacious and very clean, with all the equipment needed to cook all your meals. Location is quiet, peaceful and safe. The host is very responsive and has her own micro-bakery - providing guests with a yummy sampling and seasonally available fruits grown on the property.
