About this cottage rental
Unwind and relax after a busy life in the city. Our cozy cottage offers a comfortable and welcoming stay with everything you need for a laid back vacation.Awake refreshed and ready for a day of kayaking, bicycling and or exploring the island.
We have a deep water dock (4 houses down from the house) for crabbing, fishing and boat mooring or just relaxing
The space
Our newly renovated non-smoking, pet free home is in the village of Ewell, on Smith Island Maryland. A short walk to Smith Island bakery, museum, gift shops, church and restaurants. It has a three bedrooms, 1.5 baths, an outdoor shower and a fully equipped kitchen. Bicycles, kayaks and canoe are available.

The Jazzy 6 loved the accommo- dations and the kitchen was great. Stocked with seasonings, coffee and tea. Marykim was a wonderful hostess. She had our golf cart delivered to Idol Hour and our Smith Island Strawberry cake was in the refrigerator waiting for us. We loved Idol Hour and would stay again. Thank you Marykim for everything!The Jazzy 6

House was as defined but the host was very protective of her property. Also felt she was expecting us to follow her suggestions for transportation. Also, in description of property it should mention that shoes are not allowed in the house.

Took my grandson for a weekend trip to Smith Island to celebrate his HS graduation. My daughter, also, accompanied us, since I am a 90 year old "Grammy", and need some assistance. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and had all of our needs. The host, Kim, was extremely attentive, and made our dinner the night we arrived so we could just relax. I would highly recommend Idle Hour as the place to stay on Smith Island.
