This penthouse condo is a corner unit, offering more privacy and panoramic sound views. Life Is Good was thoughtfully furnished by Bert and John Jacobs, founders of the popular lifestyle brand Life Is Good. Exquisite finishes and high-end details create an atmosphere of coastal luxury. Wood laminate flooring flows throughout the entire condo, and the soaring vaulted ceilings boast exposed beams that were milled from a 200-year-old barn in Asheville, North Carolina. An open-concept layout in the great room makes the most of the fabulous views and opens up onto a private waterfront terrace with hot tub. It's the perfect place to end the day with a drink in hand while watching the sunset. Back inside, get dinner started in the gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliance and gorgeous soapstone countertops. Every day you'll wake up to a beautiful water view from the primary suite, which leads out to a balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee. Two additional bedrooms will comfortably accommodate family and friends, and both include an ensuite bath for plenty of privacy. Bed and bath linens are always included at no extra charge, and the beds will be made with fresh sheets and pillowcases prior to your arrival. After a day at the beach, you can come home to Waves Village and have everything you'll need within the resort. Amenities include a 70' soundfront pool, Good Winds Restaurant & Bar, and a coffee shop. Best of all, you'll have direct access to the Pamlico Sound for world-class watersport adventures. From kiteboarding and kayaking to surfing and stand up paddleboarding, Kitty Hawk Kites is onsite and ready to assist with equipment rentals, lessons and tours. Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. Guests may need to utilize alternate beach access points during their stay. No pets allowed. No smoking/vaping. Fireplace not available for guest use.

We really enjoyed our stay!
Pros-2 restaurants/bars, surf shop, mini golf and arcade type place (didn't go but some kind of fun center) and coffee shop on site. Convenient parking, beach access across the road. Small grocery store/ gas station 2 min by car. Was clean and bed were comfortable. Management was very communicative.
Con-elevator not working. We brought our 70+ year old parents and it was really hard on them walking up to the 3rd floor. We ended up leaving them there a lot while we went places and just bringing things back to them so they wouldn't have to do the stairs. Also meant a lot of work carrying coolers and luggage up.
100% Would stay again without the parents. I'd check next time to find a more accessible place or double check that the elevator is in working condition. Bring your own toiletries, none are provided. Bring laundry detergent and beach towels also. Fine by us, but good to be aware.
