About this house rental
Situated in Sarasota, this attractive house for $254 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our stylish 2,200 sq.ft. home has been decorated in beach cottage style, an eclectic mix of shabby chic and vintage pieces. It sits high on a large lot in a private road of only 6 homes close to Phillippi Creek with all its wonderful birds and wildlife. Drive or cycle to Siesta Key, one of America's Best Beaches for many years, (10 minutes by car) or visit the fabulous Mall at UTC, many designer names as well as all America's favourite brands. The many varied restaurants of Tamiami Trail are equally close by, many offering take out service. Or simply relax in your own tropical paradise, sparkling heated saltwater pool (less chemicals, kinder to eyes and skin), fully screened in with al fresco eating, large gas grill for the excellent local seafood, and a spacious screened lanai! (No bugs or other unwelcome visitors!)The pool is not overlooked and the whole yard is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. The fine white quartz crystal sand has healing powers and is home for many nesting birds and sea turtles. The aquamarine ocean is warm by May/June and remains so until November. A regular morning walk on this stunning beach or a sunset shared with a friend or lover is a magical experience, never to be forgotten. The public beach has full facilities and is busy and popular, we prefer the north end of the key where the beach is tranquil and you can spend hours with a book and enjoy a more secluded experience. The village is only a short walk away with full facilities. Bedrooms: All our bedrooms have fine linens and comfortable beds, the bathrooms are all white with tile floors, the en suite walk in shower is newly fitted for 2021. We have cupboards full of towels and sheets, duvets for the winter, sufficient extra bedding for 6 to sleep in comfort. We have a cot and high chair. Kitchen and dining: When we stay in the house we entertain our many local friends and family and can easily feed 6 on a regular basis, we have lots of pots and pans and crockery/cutlery! Unlike an average rental this is our family retreat and with our 6 children and many grandchildren it has to be on a large scale! You can park 5 or 6 cars on the drive and most guests agree there is little need or desire to go anywhere once you settle around the pool. Our only problem is we get too relaxed here and never make all the trips we intended! Our rates are quoted in UK £ and include taxes, electric pool heat, cable and WiFi. There is a refundable security deposit of $300 to cover breakages/losses. We accept US $ checks from our returning regular US guests but all other international payments from our regular guests must be made by secure online banking, or VRBO Online Payments for all new VRBO guests. A MINIMUM STAY OF 1 MONTH WILL APPLY DURING OUR BUSIEST SEASON - JANUARY through APRIL. At Christmas we ask for a MINIMUM 10 DAY STAY with no arrivals/departures on Christmas Day or New Years Day. There is a cleaning fee of $300 which can be paid in $ upon departure or deducted from the security/damage deposit, just ask the owner.

This property for our family was perfect, we had 3 adults and 3 children, it fit our needs perfectly. We felt so comfortable there, it was the perfect location to everything. We watched fireworks on July 4th at the Philippi state park on the docks, recommended by a local A+ it was only 5 mins from the house. You can also put in an kayak there too. They kids swam in the pool everyday. We went to Turtle Beach for the day and evening sunsets, not a lot of people there. We also ate at demitros pizza and Walt’s fish market and restaurant. Both great places. They had equipment for the beach and toys for the kids. We hope to come back soon. It was a wonderful week.

Susan was very prompt with all communication. The home was beautiful and set up well with everything we could need for a beach vacation. Annalise being next door was so helpful for any issues/questions and she was very responsive and kind. The pool was wonderful and we enjoyed doing many jigsaw puzzles out on the lanai! The property is so close to everything - grocery store, shops, restaurants, and about 10 minute drive from Siesta Key Beach!

Absolutely loved everything about this property! It had everything we needed, beach towels, beach and pool toys, an extra fridge in the garage plus a cooler to take along to the beach, plenty of blankets and pillows, all the bedding was top quality and comfortable, I could go on and on, one of our favorites was the amazing outdoor space, a heated saltwater pool , lots of outdoor seating, and a grill that was clean and ready to use, one of the owners lived next door and was super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed, highly highly recommend this property! Definitely 5 stars!

This house had everything we needed for a family beach stay. The high chair and pack-n-play was a great help for the littlest one. The outside seating and pool were a huge hit with the other kids. There were tons of toys, beach toys, beach towels, and beach chairs that made going to the beach a breeze. We love all the area beaches and this location was an easy drive to all of them. Susan was amazing to work with and was very quick to communicate with us on anything we needed. We will be back to this house again!

A Great vacation home!
Our family really enjoyed staying at Susan's home. Everything was as represented in the photos and the description.
The home was very clean, the pool was awesome and Annalise was easy to reach, although we really did not need much during our two weeks.
We also found the beds to be very comfortable and plenty of room for the family to spread-out and have their personal space. We enjoyed the pool and patio area daily. After a two week stay, we did not find anything lacking in the home. We will definitely return for another visit.

A Beautiful Home Away From Home
Our stay at Susan’s beautiful house couldn’t have been better. It was well appointed and we didn’t want for anything. The house was immaculate and check in was a breeze. We loved the thoughtful decor and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen: perfectly equipped for cooking many of our meals and the grill was a great extra to have. This is the BEST vacation home we’ve ever stayed in and won’t hesitate to book again when we visit Sarasota in the future. One more important factor in our 5-star review: both Susan and Annalise were so kind and friendly in their communication with us.

Great Experience. Just what we were hoping for...
This is a very charming home. It is clean, comfortable and full of amenities, inside as well as out. The pool was a highlight for our 4-year old granddaughter. As an added surprise and one that was very appreciated, our host and neighbor, Annalise put up a Christmas tree for our holiday enjoyment. The location was convenient to shopping and eateries and within reasonable distance to the beach. It was great to have beach towels, chairs, a cooler, and sand toys for our use. The outside shower was a plus as well. The owner was very pleasant to work with and we certainly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

This was one of our best vacations. We were nervous to switch up our beach routine after 15 years of vacationing on 30a in NW Florida! This will be our new spot and the only regret we have is not visiting this area sooner! We loved it. First of all, Annalise is a true gem! She lives right next door and checked on us throughout our whole trip. She was always available to answer questions and give suggestions. The house was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space to relax and retreat to. The house is equipped with literally anything you could need. Beach towels, beach chairs, toys… everything. It even has a box fan which I love to sleep with to drown out noise. The master suite feels very separate and was nice when I needed some quiet time to read. It also had its own door to the pool. The outdoor shower and sitting area were awesome as well. The drive to the beach is quick. I had reservations about not staying on the island but I’m so glad we didn’t. Running errands and grabbing food was so easy, as everything you need is a quick drive around a corner. They have thought of everything and are the kindest hosts we’ve met. I can’t rave enough about this property and the family. You won’t regret it. Just book it!

Relaxing and Charming stay
We had a great stay in Sarasota! Very convenient location to beaches and all that Sarasota has to offer. The house was clean and nicely decorated, very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to fully prepare meals and well equipped to handle any family needs. We loved the pool and outdoor area and spent a lot of time outside relaxing and swimming. Susan and Annalise were fantastic and very attentive, we truly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful and relaxing dream home in Sarasota
My family and I absolutely loved everything about our stay at this home! As we arrived, we saw that the outside of the house was very charming. As for the inside of the home, it was extremely beautiful and clean throughout. All the furnishings and decor created such a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. I will also say that I was beyond impressed with the pool and patio. It was so peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable every day. Honestly, it was everything you needed for a perfect vacation. My teenage daughter also loved the upstairs patio and would spend time both reading and working on her homework there.
As for the location, it could not be any more perfect! The neighborhood was very quiet and we felt very safe being there. The home is also in close proximity to several shopping plazas, which made it easy to run errands and buy groceries. There is even a Barnes and Nobles down the road, which my daughter was thrilled about. Several beaches, including Siesta key and Lido beach are just a short drive away. Susan had everything you can ask for when going to the beaches, including beach towels and chairs! There is even an outdoor shower available to rinse off when coming home from the beach.
Both Susan and Annalise are extremely kind and helpful. They made my family and I feel very welcomed. It was truly a pleasure to vacation at this home and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. I can assure that you will not be disappointed. This has been such a lovely and memorable experience. I am already wishing I was back there again!

Warm home feel, with pool and centrally located
Everything as advertised. This home felt like home, with a well equipped kitchen, multiple sitting areas inside and a great outdoor space that we fully utilized throughout our stay.
The property location, just off Tamiami Trail (Rt.41) is central to Siesta Key beaches and downtown Sarasota.
Our host (Anna) was available and quite helpful with any questions and ideas.

The pool was superb and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool almost every day and BBQ outside on the grill. My daughter did her virtual schooling from the deck outside. The WIFI was very reliable and fast.
I can't wait to go back and stay at Susan's again. I highly recommend this house because it is also centrally located.

Excellent Sarasota House with Pool
Susan the owner was very helpful with recommendations before we arrived. Property was very clean and comfortable with a lot of outside space for relaxing. Kitchen is really well stocked for those who wish to cook but if you don’t there are numerous restaurants an easy drive away. A good base from which to explore this lovely area.
