Very easy accommodations; the caretakers (Ruben and Maritsa who live on the property) make everything so easy. The kitchen is well appointed. Everything was clean and neat. Maritsa cleans regularly during the stay. Mini-split ACs in each room were essential. Two bedrooms are separate and can only get to the main part of the house by walking outside. We asked Ruben to cook for us one night; it was absolutely delicious! Make sure to have his chocolate cake! Martisa will ask what foods you want and let you know the dinner cost afterwards. They both are wonderful. They have 2 well behaved dogs that roam around The Rotunda (gated) property and will hang out with you when you're outside. We enjoyed the screen porch and the pool the most. Ruben had a rental golf cart ready for us that we used to go into the village daily for groceries or meals. Mings was the best grocery store. Be sure to carry your driver's license with you when driving the golf cart and recommend avoiding village police check-stop. Recommend water shoes for ocean swimming at the house (and cave tubing). The sand is coarse. The beautiful beaches and sand are offshore at the snorkeling islands. Ruben can arrange private tours with a local person as your guide and driver. We did 2 full days - Myan ruins, cave tubing, and snorkeling: 2100 US/4 people. Recommend flying between BZE airport and Placencia airport instead of a shuttle for both ways. You'll see the country if you travel for excursions.

The stay was perfect. Beautiful, very clean/comfortable home. The outside amenities were fantastic including Cornhole, volleyball, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Ruben and Maritza are so kind, helpful and definitely would recommend allowing them to cook for you because it's so good.

What a beautiful place from which to explore Placencia!We booked la rotonda for a family birthday bash and loved every minute of our stay. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable (although most a bit small, except for the one king bed). The house has been recently remodeled, with a modern well-equipped kitchen, two spacious dining areas (one indoors, one on a screened porch) and a comfortable living area. Just outside is an ample shaded deck space and a lovely saltwater infinity pool. A few steps further and you're at the water's edge, where you can easily go for a swim. The location was convenient to the airport and local stores, and the house felt very safe and private, in a gated compound, with caretakers on the property.The owners and staff were super kind and helpful. Maritza cooked us a delicious typical Belizean dinner for our big birthday party, complete with a yummy chocolate cake. The two dogs who live on the property were absolutely delightful, and showed up as soon as we did, ready to move in. Against the rules, sadly, but we enjoyed their playful daily visits We only stayed for three nights, but would definitely come back for a longer visit!!

We had the most incredible stay at The Rotunda. Everything about this property was amazing. From check in to check out and everything in between we could not have asked for more. The property itself had it all. Plenty of space for 2 families with 4 kids 9-13. We enjoyed many days swimming In the pool, playing volleyball, fishing from the shores, and enjoying the board games at night. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything needed. The best part however was definitely Ruben and Maritza! They are truly one of a kind and amazing house managers. They helped us prior to arrival making reservations and booking tours. Once there they were willing to help with everything and kept the house and grounds immaculate. They cooked 3 meals for us and they were truly incredible and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed getting to know them as well. We were sad to leave after a week at this property!Great house, perfect location, amazing property and truly the best in Ruben and Martiza! Wonderful vacation all around!
