About this house rental
Spacious, relaxing and colorful! Enjoy the excitement of Ocean Lakes in this beautiful 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home that sleeps 13 in comfort and beach style (sleeps additional 4 on sofa couches in living room so could sleep 17). The home is located on the southern end of Ocean Lake, just a 200 yard walk or golf cart ride to the beach with lifeguards and chair/umbrella rentals available (during prime season) along with many amenities that Ocean Lakes has to offer. The first floor of this raised beach house has a spacious deck with plenty of seating. Inside you will find an open living, dining and kitchen, perfect for family gatherings. The dining table seats 8 with additional seating for 3 at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is fully equipped. The first floor also features a washer and dryer pair and a master bedroom with a king bed, TV, balcony, and ensuite. Upstairs has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, with TV and balcony access. Both upstairs bathrooms are off the hallway. Under the house has plenty of entertaining space with bar, seating, swings, outdoor shower with hot/cold water, and grill.

Ocean Lakes is a gated community with extraordinary amenities including a large resort style pool, water park, kids splash zone, miniature golf, lazy river, indoor pool, arcade, basketball and volleyball courts, shuffleboard, several lakes for fishing, recreation center, general store and cafe. Church services are also on site. Enjoy peace of mind with 24 hour security patrols and gated entry.

Park your car and you never have to leave but if you choose the house is located just 10 minutes from the heart of Myrtle Beach attractions such as golfing (over 100 courses!), amusement parks, shows, outlet malls, museums, etc., and 15 minutes from Broadway at the Beach.
General Information:
There is a per day per vehicle parking fee paid directly to Ocean Lakes. There is parking for 2-3 vehicles at the house and an overflow lot for additional vehicles.
Linen - bed linen, towels, wash clothes, and kitchen towels included. You are ready to relax!
Property is a smart lock self check-in. Code will be provided the day prior to visit.
Please Note House Rules:
- You must be 25 years old to rent and must stay during the entire reservation
- No smoking except on balconies and outside
- A refundable damage deposit is required.
- Contract must be signed before checking into the house. Also a copy of driver's license must be sent to me.

I would like to first state that I have never written a VRBO review, let alone a negative one! This house is dirty and in need of maintenance. The living room furniture has a greasy feel to it and is uncomfortable. The cushions do not stay in place. They slide out the front of the sofa even if you're sitting and not moving at all. The walls and wall decor is covered in dust and dirt. The air filters haven't been changed in over a year. We checked the dates written on them. The internet never worked the entire time we were there. The host sent me a link for the Spectrum's FAQ page. I did contact Spectrum and try to get them to repair it. It think they came, but didn't fix it. The box on the exterior of the home containing the cables was broken open, the wires exposed and one of them was cut. At check-in we were unable to access the home for about an hour due to the YALE electronic entry not working properly and the host being unavailable. The area under the house is not equipped with any of the seating in the photos. The Margaritaville bar is there, but no stools or chairs. It is also dirty. There are leaves and dirt everywhere. Outdoor shower has cobwebs, dirt, and leaves. There is a pile of lumber strewn across the back of the house with trash and leaves amongst it. The master closet has a unfolded pile of linens that may be intended for the next guest, but could in no way be considered clean as they're on the floor. The owners live in TN -it is clear they aren't maintaining
