This truly is a rainforest paradise! Located a 20 minute drive from Quepos high in the canopy, you feel very in touch with nature. Before we arrived, we were given very clear directions, including a grocery store to stop at and stock up. I recommend taking advantage of that opportunity. Adriena met us in a pouring rain and guided us to the house. She was so sweet. We were able to park in the car port and get our luggage and groceries in w/o getting too wet. We settled in, listening to the sounds of the rainforest from the covered patio. The house is quite unique in its design and decor, with plenty of seating space for the 6 adults in our group. The 1st floor bedroom has a private bath and 3 beds. The 2nd floor bedrooms are big w/ hardwood floors-squeaky at times, a private balcony, and a shared bathroom. Deborah helped us arrange a deep sea fishing excursion with Captain Franklin. It was absolutely wonderful! She also connected us with a local chef- Cleo. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience. Cleo prepared the fish we caught, along with other traditional dishes. She was so good, we invited her back the second night for another meal. Why drive into town to eat, when you can have an expert prepare a meal just for you?? And then there's the waterfall on the property! It's about a 20 minute hike from the house, but very much worth it. It is absolutely gorgeous and completely private. If you are looking for an experience to get away from it all, this is the place!

This house is in the depths of the rainforest. No one else around, which is what we wanted. The private waterfall tour with Jose was one of the highlights of our trip. The hostess was wonderful and very helpful.

Charming rustic house nestled in the mountains! We loved the wrap around screened porch and the waterfalls. Deborah and Jose are gems!

Very isolated location — it’s impossible to get around by taxi; you need a vehicle (preferably a truck) to ensure transportation. We ended up without electricity one evening, so no Wi-Fi, and it was impossible to communicate with anyone since there are no nearby neighbors. It’s an ideal place for someone looking for a retreat, but definitely not for visiting Manuel Antonio — it’s too far away.
