This was our second stay in the little Ca'Sea'Ta on the Sand, and it definitely won't be our last! We grew up in the area, and are vacation rental hosts ourselves, so have pretty high standards in vacation rentals. We usually escape to Oxnard at least twice a year to decompress, and out of the dozens of rentals we have stayed in Hollywood Beach and the Strand, this has definitely become our favorite! It's not the biggest or fanciest of the rentals we've been blessed to enjoy, but the location, vibe and TLC poured into it are exactly the perfect fit for relaxation, making it our new favorite! It is clean, well stocked, comfortable, ADORABLE, and perfect for a quiet getaway. And those HUGE picture windows out onto the beach in the livingroom and kitchen!!! It doesn't get much better! ...EXCEPT for sitting in a sunny yellow adirondack chair staring at the ocean, with the lull of seagulls and crashing waves and a steamy hot cup of morning coffee!More practically speaking, the bed is a little too firm for us, but my hubby and I are willing to sacrifice a little sleep, because we have the whole rest of the day to relax in this amazing little place. And. beds really are such a personal preference, so no shade on the firm bed. Also, I did notice that they had replaced a few things that had seemed to be wearing out when we stayed a few months back due to the corrosive sea air, so the PM does listen to feedback and take care of it promptly. We notice new outdoor shower faucets and cafe lights, a new Keurig, and that they had replaced the gas grill outside. On that subject of property managers, we have been renting directly through ReMax Gold Coast for several years now, and have always found them to be fantastic to deal with... kind, friendly and professional! We will happily continue to rent properties through them in the future!

Hollywood Beach in Oxford, California has the feel of childhood summer vacations at a beach home. The house is adorable. The beach is massive, empty with the most gorgeous sunsets. You feel like you’re at the end of the world but at the same time you have access to everything you could possibly want in a cosmopolitan city. The house is very clean, kitchen and bathroom spotless. The first night we got locked out. It was a little frustrating because we had to talk to four different people to get help. However, every single person was lovely and they came and replaced the lock within an hour. The microwave broke the next morning and they came and replaced that extremely quickly also. The kitchen and the bathroom are newly renovated and gorgeous. There were so many thick fluffy towels. It felt very luxurious if you go during the summer, I would ask if they have air conditioning. When we were there, it was cold so we didn’t need it. They do have heat, however. We would highly recommend this serene beach home.

The location of this home was perfect — close to everything and in a great area for a relaxing stay. The property management team was wonderful and very responsive, which made things easy from start to finish.That said, the house itself could really use some updates. You can tell that when things were fixed or remodeled, shortcuts were taken and lower-end materials were used. There were several signs of wear and tear, some electrical issues, and overall the home felt a bit dated for the price we paid. The linens and furniture could also use some attention.With a proper remodel and better upkeep, this place could easily be amazing because of the location and great service. Our stay was still good overall, but for the price, I think we could’ve found something a little higher quality nearby.
