Welcome to Baked Alaska, a comfortable second-floor private room in the shared Precision Lodge, thoughtfully designed for couples, solo travelers, business guests, and visitors exploring Southeast Alaska. Conveniently located near Auke Bay, Mendenhall Glacier, Tongass National Forest, and the University of Alaska Southeast, you'll enjoy both comfort and easy access to Juneau's most popular attractions.
The private guest room features a comfortable queen bed, high-speed Wi-Fi, streaming TV, forest views, and a private bathroom with a beautifully tiled walk-in shower and granite vanity. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, hot plate, toaster oven, cookware, and dining space, making longer stays both convenient and comfortable.
Relax in the outdoor hot tub after a day of hiking, fishing, kayaking, whale watching, or exploring the nearby glacier. Fishing poles and bicycles are available to rent on-site for even more opportunities to enjoy the surrounding area.
Precision Lodge is a shared home with up to two additional guest rooms, creating a friendly atmosphere while still providing privacy in your own room. Please note that the owner's professional stone fabrication workshop is located on the lower level and operates during weekday business hours, so occasional daytime noise may be heard.
Host Johney is often available to share local recommendations, while Kelli is easily reachable if you need assistance before or during your stay. Such a great alternative to a generic hotel room! The lodge has cool art and sits in the middle of the woods. There is also a cool brewery called Hidden Peak, about a mile away. We stayed in the Baked Alaska suite which was spacious and super clean. The shared kitchen is a great place to hang. I highly recommend!

My wife and I had a great time in Juneau staying at Baked Alaska. All was as advertised with no surprises. While I do recommend having personal transportation to get around, it is really quite close (within 15 minutes driving) of virtually everything you might want to see in the Juneau area. The unit itself was modern and up to date and clean. They provided great directions for the initial arrival which I really appreciate. (Having had to scramble with other rentals at other times) Anyway, these instructions were detailed and accurate. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely stay there again should we be in the area.

Great place to stay! The place is beautiful, unique and very well appointed. My room was very comfortable from the bed to the stone walk in shower. The location is close to everything yet surrounded by quiet forest.
The owner Johnny is a creative collector and a very pleasant and friendly guy to talk to. Kelli manages the place as a true professional with easy self check in and great communication.
Your stay with them will be way better than any hotel in town!

I think the biggest downfall of this listing is the details. I wish I would have known it was a shared space, I feel like the listing currently doesn’t do a good job at explaining that well. After arriving and being extremely confused I looked at the detailed email I got 3 days before check in and saw those details when I was checking in via the owner’s website. That does a good job at explaining it, but the Expedia booking definitely lacks. The kitchen was extremely dirty in the sink and on the floor upon arrival. I’m assuming this is from the shared space. The room itself was very clean and it worked for the time. Very comfortable bed. Parking was confusing because there were work trucks in the front where it said to park and a snow mound. Man who wrote me a “do not park here ever!” Sign was very nice and understanding. But I would not book again.
