We spent a quick weekend in Surfside as a family of 5 w/a dog. The location was fantastic, close to gas stations and restaurants, and we were even able to get HEB delivery. The 3-5 min walk to the beach is great. You can see the waves from the driveway. Across from the house is a coffee shop and a beach shop with everything from golf carts and beach chairs to sunscreen. The owners of both places were great. The house was very cute, the couches were comfortable, and the AC blew cold! We had a few areas that needed attention. First, and I imagine it's the nature of being that close to water, it looked and smelled like there were some mold issues, even visible on the ceiling above the dining room table. There are two bathrooms, which is great for a larger family, but in one, the shower was unusable because the handles were broken, and in the walk-in shower, the door does not seal, so a lot of water pours onto the floor. The sink in the first shower did not drain at all. So, between the two, we had one bathroom, which worked out for us (more towels please). The kitchen and fridge were nice to have. We enjoyed watching movies at night, the kids said the bunks were comfortable. We did think the cleaners should get more deep cleaning done, as many things were dirty if you moved them around, dusty, etc. Likely just cleaners moving too quickly. The main bedroom, the closet door is broken and kept swinging open. The fenced yard was great for our dog! We would love to stay here again!

We just wanted to say how happy we are with the airnb house! It’s in a great location, close to the beach and within walking distance, which is perfect. The house has all the accessories we need for a short stay, and the WiFi is super strong. The washer and dryer worked exactly as stated, and the beds are very comfortable.The A/C works well, and the hot water is always ready – everything is just right.One night, when the power went out around 4 a.m.by a strong lightening, the host quick email notification was incredibly reassuring. She was keeping us updated throughout the situation—it truly made a difference knowing she was on top of things. Overall, we’re very happy and would definitely stay here again!
