We had an excellent stay at Lakeside Paradise Scugog. The property is spacious, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway with family and friends. The lake views, large outdoor space, hot tub, and overall atmosphere made our trip truly memorable.A special thanks to David for being such a wonderful host. He was extremely responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. His hospitality and attention to guests really stood out and made the experience even better.The cottage has plenty of space for large groups, comfortable rooms, and great outdoor amenities to enjoy day and night. We especially loved the beautiful sunsets and the quiet lakeside environment.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing cottage getaway.We would definitely love to visit this Paradise again.

Place was amazing, we came in and everything was clean and ready to go. They provided sheets and towels which was amazing. The property way beautiful, great stay! Highly recommend.

We had a group of 14 of us friends in our 30-40s stay here for 4 nights and had a great time.Plenty of space and different areas for everyone to gather or spread out as they wished.Unfortunately a fire ban was in effect during our stay so we were unable to use the fire pit which we were looking forward to.The hot tub and BBQ were in good working order during our stay and the place was as clean as a cottage can be expected to be!I will say quite a few of the outdoor solar lights around the property and on the deck no longer work which would be good to replace in general.There are 2 full sized fridge/freezers which was super helpful for all of our food/beverage needs, however the second fridge had a semi-broken door which made it tricky to close, although still worked once figured out.The yard and deck are beautiful, private, and well maintained with lots of greenery between properties.Would definitely recommend water shoes for going out into the water as the lake and water access is very weedy (this was anticipated)Not terrible though as it's very shallow so easy to walk out to clearer water. We brought a large inflatable floaty and used the kayaks (there are 2 on the property!) to pull them out deeper to spend some lovely time in the water.Easy to get to the corner store or even Port Perry for any extra supplies/groceries etc needed, but the kitchen is well supplied for cooking needs/dishes etc.Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back!

This cottage in theory is great, but unfortunately it is not well cleaned and maintained in between guests. The hottub was very dirty and we could not use it, even though the host confirmed before hand it was ready for us. When we got in there was a thick layer of slime on the ground and we could see our footprints. We sent the host a message about the cleanliness of the hottub and never received a response. In the kitchen, the inside of the fridge was not wiped out, the cupboards had a lot of crumbs, and dishes were just thrown in, some with old food and mold growing on them. The upstairs bathroom had no working lights. It is clear they do not check the property very carefully in between guests. Still giving this cottage 3 stars because the bedrooms seemed clean, the property had a good firepit and was nice for yard games. We had a fun weekend but felt the 300 cleaning fee should have resulted in a cleaner space and a hot tub that we could actually use. Also the lakefront at this cottage does not have a swimming area, it is very marshy. I didn't think it was emphasized enough on the listing that you cannot swim here.
